2026-11-12-Gate4SPICE Event "Understand how to apply rating rules for consistent ASPICE assessment using AI, and applying IT services for SPICE to improve automotive operating environments" - ONSITE[KR]
Brief description
The VDA Automotive SPICE® Guideline defines a large number of rating rules our own count from the 2nd edition is 258 rules, of which 40 impose an upper limit on a rating. They are unevenly distributed: some processes carry more than 20 rules, others only one. Several rules are also chained, so the rating of one indicator mechanically constrains another.
Assessors do not work from memory; they consult the Guidelines. Even so, applying the relevant rules completely and consistently under time pressure is a different task from knowing them. This session sets out to observe, with the participants themselves as the sample, how much variation actually occurs and to discuss where that variation is legitimate professional judgment and where it is simply a missed step.
In actual projects, as Configuration, Problem, and Change are managed across various tools and organizations, operational gaps persist, such as a lack of traceability between changes and deliverables, limitations in the systematic management of issues and problems, and the manual collection of evidence immediately prior to assessment.
Ultimately, the core issue is not that the Automotive SPICE® process is absent, but that there is a lack of an operational system capable of consistently executing and controlling the defined process in actual business operations.
Therefore, we intend to discuss ways to embed the Automotive SPICE® process into actual business workflows through IT services for SPICE, and to secure end-to-end traceability and evidence between problems, changes, and configurations during business operations.
