Sophie is the new scholarship holder supported by iNTACS e.V.. Her bachelor work will be about finding out which competences companies expect from students in the field of AI and which mechanisms have to be embedded in the teaching to be able to guarantee the achievement of these competences. Her plan is to conduct expert interviews with T-Systems, both with AI experts to find out the concrete competences and with people from HR to get their assessment on how to emphasise the competences in students. The research for her exposé confirmed that the topics of process optimisation and AI go hand in hand, which is why she can well imagine involving experts from Intacs and taking their assessment into account for my question.
We wish Sophie every good success!

Recently we received questions regarding the minimum and maximum size of assessment teams.
Based on our current procedure "EE concept V7.5" the chapter 2.1 defines that "The assessment team shall consist of a lead assessor and at least one [...] co-assessor(s)." So, the minimum assessment team size is two. If only one lead assessor performs an assessment, this is not in line with our procedure. In this case no EE-AL (nor EE-AT) is granted. Please ensure that the assessment team fulfills all criteria mentioned in the procedure.
There is also a limit of one (1) lead assessor and maximum of four (4) co-assessors for an assessment. This also applies for complex assessments e.g., class 1 assessments. "Only up to 4 co-assessors can be listed in the intacs Assessment Log template and are considered eligible to obtain an experience evidence as assessment team member (EE-AT) per single assessment."

Participants were 8 intacs certified instructors from different regions of the world and additional 4 principal assessors. The very first exam for the training will be held on 17.10.2023 by ECQA after the exam questions are released by all boards. The certificate will be mutually recognised by ECQA and VDA-QMC after the release of Automotive SPICE 4.0. In the first step, the hardware SPICE training is offered to intacs certified instructors worldwide. The feedback of the participants was reflected back to the working group and is processed by it.

Following the VDA SYS conference, the Organization SPICE Working Goup met with 15 people in Berlin. The working group consists of international representatives of consulting companies, automotive suppliers, automotive manufacturers and assessors from the Turkish standards organisation. After the Organisation SPICE model was released as version 2.0 this year (download will be available soon), ISO33060 and ISO33061 as well as Test SPICE are now supported in addition to Automotive SPICE®.
Topics were the definition of how a trustworthy maturity assessment can be carried out and the documentation of these decisions in a procedure. The key is to establish as much trust as possible. To this end, an independent lead assessor and an independent co-assessor must conduct the assessment together. The assessment is previously registered with a certification body, which appoints an independent inspector. A concept has been drawn up of what a certification body to be established for this purpose might look like in order to obtain an certificate that is valid for three years. In order to maintain the certificate, annual review assessments must be carried out.
The procedure has been established and is currently being translated into a final document. The pilots can start immediately.
